Unfortunately, it hasn't at all lived up to what we expected. First, we were informed AFTER the purchase that the standard shipping for this item was self-service truck shipping, meaning we were expected to get the table off the truck ourselves, or else it would be an extra $100. Surprise!We decided to deal with that problem, only to find that the finish on the table is very fragile. Some of the finish on the base was damaged when we unpacked the table, and even the gentlest touch when we were getting the table top up on to the base as we assembled it cause the finish to chip on one side. It is very, very sturdy. The finish is much darker than I expected but it is beautiful. It was very easy to assemble. The only problem that I had was the weight. It is very heavy for an-over-the hill grandmother.I ordered this in April and did not receive it until July. It was supposed to be in stock but it was not; however, it was worth the wait. |
