We bought this table to have in our eat-in kitchen. I needed a certain size the fit the space and this one fit the bill. The table seats 6 without the leaf and 8 with the leaf. It was well packaged and had no damage except for one dot on one corner where the finish had come off. Because of this, I noticed that the finish seems to be painted on, not stained. Just looking at it, you would never know, but the chip revealed natural colored wood. I just used a marker to cover the spot and you can't even see it. The table is HEAVY. The latches that hold the table together with or without the leaf are high quality. Once you close them, there is no way the table will shift apart. The finish of the table really looks beautiful. Assembly was a cinch - just attach the legs. It is definitely worth the money and I am very happy with this table!
